Here’s a chance to win a 1ct £5000 diamond by… finding it.

Leadenhall Market in the City of London have come up with a challenge to Londoners: answer a series of questions, follow clues, and find the diamond that will be hidden somewhere in the Square Mile of the City.

According to a page on the Leadenhall Market website, those that register will then have to answer a series of increasingly challenging questions over a four week period.  The questions will include historic references to Leadenhall Market and surrounding areas.

If all goes according to plan (and nobody accidentally stumbles across the precious diamond ahead of schedule…) then the first person to answer all of the questions and to work out all of the cryptic clues will be guided to the location of the diamond and then: it’s theirs to keep.
